CREATIVI-TREE

I love to decorate...and what I love most of all, is decorating on a budget. That's when my favorite store comes in....Dollar Tree. I cannot tell you how many crafts and parties I have done with the help of this wonderful store.

On YouTube and Pinterest, there are so many amazing ideas that I love to make but please note that these are just my version of the ideas. When I get struck by the originality lightening bolt, I will be more than happy to share as well.

This craft is a pumpkin made out of splatter screens. Yes, you read right....those little screens you put over a frying pan to prevent getting burned or messing up your stove.

What you will need:

3 Splatter Screens

Wire cutters

Floral wire

Spray paint

Decorations (Most of mine came from Dollar Tree and some from my stash - If I get things at other craft stores, I make sure I always have my 40% off coupon to get the best price)

First, with your wire cutter, cut off two of the three handles from the screens to make your pumpkin. You need to leave one on to act as the stem.

Next, overlay your screens so they look like a pumpkin and secure with floral wire at four points. Don't worry about the cut edges of the handles or the wires - you will be covering them up.

Then spray paint with the color of your choice. I chose to use a flat black.

Afterwards - simply decorate - I used the creepy cloth to cover the handle and then went to town. Dollar Tree has an awesome amount of decorations to choose and use.

Hang it on your door or window! Here are a few that I made.

That's it - so easy and simple and takes little time and money! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to decorate - so keep checking in as I have a lot to share.

Till next time...
